About the Opportunity
Career in Structural Steel & Civil CostingWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, material take-offs, and ensuring cost efficiency across structural steel and civil projects.
Key Responsibilities
Core duties & day-to-day role- calculate Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analysis based on design drawings and specifications.
- architecture Read and interpret engineering/design drawings to quantify materials, labour, and equipment.
- account_balance_wallet Prepare budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
- request_quote Review supplier & subcontractor quotations and assist in negotiations.
- monitoring Monitor project costs, track variations, and provide cost control reports.
- diversity_3 Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
Eligibility criteria- verified Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- verified 3 – 4 years of experience in cost estimation, tendering, or quantity surveying in construction, structural steel, or infrastructure projects.
- verified Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- verified Experience with estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX) is an advantage.
